I hand wrapped this wonderful aqua batik fabric around cotton line, which I then hand coiled and machine quilted to make it sturdy. I used the raw edge technique with a little fray for a great Bohemian style. It is a high quality 100% cotton fabric and it shows on the inside of this batik basket too! I added a lovely pink batik fabric to the base and another aqua batik to the top for contrast, all 100% cotton. The pretty pink burlap flower on the basket is included for a nice accent.
I just love this aquamarine batik with the lovely pink highlights! The pattern created is so unique! All of These lovely batik fabrics were hand made in Indonesia, using wax resist patterns, which is very labor intensive. The results are gorgeous and very unique.
Hand washable, gentle, separately, with cold water, reform and air dry only.
Or spot clean.
